The Hooverwood Guild, which is made up of over one thousand dedicated volunteer men and women, is a very special part of Hooverwood.
The volunteers work daily to help at the gift shop and to prepare memorable monthly birthday parties and Sunday Socials. The Guild also sponsors special lunches at Hooverwood and provides the funds for the Residents to eat at a variety of restaurants in the community. With the money from the many fund-raising projects, the Guild is able to generously subsidize the beauty/barber shop, provide each resident with a birthday gift certificate to the gift shop, assist with refurbishing projects, provide the Hooverwood Vans, and visit new residents bringing a special "Welcome Gift".
The dedicated and caring volunteers that "Have a heart for
Hooverwood" make living at our Home the special place that it is.
One of the Rabbis in the Community
visits weekly. Family members are encouraged to join the Guild and
take an active part in its many services to Hooverwood. You may do
this by calling the Guild Office - 251-2261.
